This is my Giant Twist Electric Bike that I use for an almost sweatless 4.5 mile commute (with hills). During the cold winter temperatures, around 35 degrees, I’m averaging about 9 miles per charge on each battery (for a total range of 18 miles). I suspect they would last longer if I used it more frequently, but it too cold and wet to ride, quite frankly. During the warmer months I average about 18 miles per charge (36 mile range with both batteries)

Reckless Bikes brought up this electric bike for us to play with. The torque on this thing was quite incredible, both with acceleration and braking.

The batteries do take up most of the space but there is room to put a bike lock and tools. A pair of shoes won’t fit but maybe a pair of sandals. (Like the ones thrown at our former President maybe? ;)

I’m thinking about attaching a milk crate or some other rack on top but I haven’t figured it out yet.

Hmmm, I would imagine that would weigh a fair amount with the batteries and everything so I don’t think I’d want to trust those skinny tyres!

I was quite surprised that it was parked here and not with the motorbikes…

…the tyres do look a bit flimsy dont they!
